Three Ways to Make AI Your Assistant During Proposal Kickoff
Breakout
Through real-world demonstrations, this session will show marketing and business development professionals three practical ways to use AI tools such as Copilot as a proposal assistant during kickoff. Using the same show-and-share approach Amber has used successfully with her in-house AEC marketing team, the session will demonstrate how AI can support RFP analysis, meeting facilitation and notetaking using a standard kickoff agenda, and automated task assignment and deadline tracking. Whether you create proposals yourself or lead a team responsible for them, you’ll leave with practical workflows you can apply immediately and use to train others.
Grounded in the realities of an in-house proposal team producing high volumes of work, this session focuses on accessible, right-now uses of AI rather than overcomplicated or tool-heavy solutions. Attendees will see how AI can help proposal teams work more efficiently without replacing human judgment, while also learning how to introduce these tools through “learning out in the open” and internal show-and-share practices that build comfort and adoption. A supporting handout with prompts, screenshots, and repeatable steps will help participants bring the process back to their own teams.
